OCTOBER 2019 @ PTC offers wonderful opportunities for therapeutic based psychoeducation and self development

October 2019 @ PTC will once again allow the opportunity for individuals to come along for single sessions (or more) to take advantage of amazing packages.

NUTRITION AND MENTAL HEALTH october 2019 @ ptc

Knowledge is power.  Knowledge gives you power.  Finally you can find the strength to make changes to your nutrition for the sake of your mental health.  Have you ever wondered why we are told to eat certain things and to avoid certain things.  Sometimes we know the reason for it and sometimes we don’t.  When you know the how and the why, you become more determined to take action toward change.  Simply being told something is good for you is often not enough.  It’s important to know why and the positive consequences that come with it.

DEALING WITH ANXIETY october 2019 @ ptc

Whether you experience anxiety occasionally or whether it persists in your daily life you don’t need to be afraid of it.  You can learn a way to manage it.  In fact gain control and learn a new way of responding.  Did you know that if you are afraid of facing something and you deliberately create behaviours to avoid it, this will not benefit you or the anxious feelings that come with it.  I tend to suggest that you sit with your feelings of discomfort and feel them.  Doing this will allow you to desensitise to the stimulus.  Its similar to gentle exposure.  And you can learn ways to compassionately manage your symptoms too.  Anxiety is not a disease.  It’s a process.  Of the many pathways, find the one that suits you.

GROWING MINDFUL [KIDS AND TEENS] october 2019 @ ptc

This session offers kids and teens unique mindfulness activities to teach awareness.  They will learn how to be present in the moment, at any moment.  They will also learn pathways to kindness and allow curiosity to be on their side.

SINGLE SESSION HYPNOSIS: PAIN RELIEF october 2019

This is an amazing session.  It’s not a cure.  It’s a session on learning how to focus on something else instead of your pain.  Have you ever noticed that you can do productive day at work, and only when you sit down to relax does your pain remind you that its still there?  Well that’s because you have not focused on it whilst you were busy. 

That’s the trick.  Now the other amazing thing is to be able to do it when you need it most e.g. when you sit down to relax.  Or when you go and lay down in your bed.  In fact, you can determine when this would best suit you.  When we focus on something we often feel it at deeper levels.  And when we don’t, then we can relieve ourselves of the obligation of the sensation.  Now I say this with caution. 

Be mindful and sensible about limits.  Most of all be open minded and willing to give it a go.  At the very least, always know that all hypnosis is “self” hypnosis.  A wonderful skill we already do, and a wonderful skill to learn to intentionally do.  In essence, hypnoses can help your body to self soothe.
