Being in year 12 can be rather stressful. One may experience anxiety, nerves, disrupted sleep, procrastination habits, panic attacks, fears of not achieving, loss of control, and periods of depression.

CAN HYPNOTHERAPY HELP?

Hypnotherapy is extremely effective in helping HSC students. It helps improve memory, reduce exam nerves and prepare you for study. But its not magic! You need to be willing and determined to participate and be the best “participant” that you can be.

WHAT TECHNIQUES WILL BE USED

Techniques used may include relaxation, visualisation, anchoring and neuro-linguistic programming (NLP).

These techniques aim to assist you to succeed in remembering and recalling facts and other important information.

You will experience confidence, and become aware of the resources you possess to become successful. WHAT ABOUT MEDITATION?

Meditation is one of the best stress busters. Practicing meditation regularly, lowers stress and improves your immune system. Its best to meditate for a few minutes once or twice per day.

HYPNOSIS… A HEALTHY CHANGE

Hypnosis is really an opportunity for you to make changes. It is a perfectly natural method. In fact all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. It is simply a state of focused concentration. How pleasingly organic and natural does this sound? First of all you should understand that your subconscious mind is aware of everything that takes place all day long. And this is the part of your mind that hypnosis deals with to make all your improvements.

Did you know… they say that an hour of relaxation hypnosis is the same as having 8 hours of rest.

So allow yourself to be in the best condition for your HSC, both mentally and physically.

Don’t forget to eat well and drink plenty of water.

Allocate periods of rest, and when you study, be present; become an efficient learner. Would you like to learn something in one hour ? Or to waste you time staring at it all night as you allow for distractions to interfere.
