About Amanda Dounis.

Amanda Dounis is a Client /Solution Focused Strategic Psychotherapist, Clinical Hypnotherapist, NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) Master Practitioner, Professional Counsellor, and Early Childhood Proficient Teacher.

Amanda offers services both Face to Face in Clinic, as well as Distance Professional Services (also known as Telehealth, Teletherapy, E-Counselling, E-Therapy, Online Counselling, and Online Therapy, and Online Conferencing).

Amanda has worked in the early childhood field for over 20 years in Australia.  She is a successful and award winning owner /operator of 4 early learning centres in the St George area.

For several years now, Amanda also volunteers her services to Lifeline Australia.

Being a member of the Mental Health Academy (MHA), Australian Counselling Association (ACA), the Hypnotherapy Council of Australian (HCA), the Australian Hypnotherapy Association (AHA),  the Australian Society of Clinical Hypnotherapy (ASCH), the Guild of Australian Hypnotherapists (GOAH), on the Advisory Board for the International Strategic Psychotherapy Association (ISPA) and National Standards Education Authority (NESA), Amanda abides by relevant codes of conduct and ethical practice guidelines.

Amanda maintains all professional development and supervision requirements to qualify for private health insurance provider numbers, as well as working with children check, police check, first aid and professional insurance.

Amanda is also a Professional Supervisor with the Australian Council of Supervisors, offering one on one supervision for other professionals as well as networking and peer supervision opportunities.  Invested in the professionalism and guidance of other professionals in related industries.

Amanda is passionate about healthy eating, physical exercise, and continuous professional academic development.  Her passions have certainly turned into life long hobbies.

Amanda has been a reputable Guest Speaker in several Australian and International Conferences where she has offered expertise in working with kids, coping skills, tips and techniques and more.

Amanda is been trained as a Facilitator in Mindfulness in Peaceful Kids.  A great site for mindfulness practices which support growth and development in all areas and challenging moments of life.  An important skill.
